Mindful Living Course (Oct 19-Dec 7): for stress reduction and increased well-being - online (8 week course)

Mindful Living with Sharon Tashi Davison is an 8-week mindfulness training for stress reduction and increased well-being, based on the MBSR (mindfulness-based stress reduction) program from the Centre for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. It will inform and include practice in mindfulness & meditation, light stretching, personal reflection, and awareness practices.

Participating in Mindful Living will assist those new to mindfulness and meditation to develop a mindfulness practice to integrate into their day-to-day lives, will refresh training for those having taken MBSR in the past, and provide a reboot for those who wish to re-establish a meditation practice.

Monday October 19 - December 7, 2020

Times:
Two options of Mindful Living are being offered this Autumn

Daytime Class 1:

  • 10:00 - 11:30am PDT

  • 1:00 - 2:30pm EDT

  • 2:00 - 3:30 pm ADT

Evening Class 2:

  • 7:00 - 8:30 pm PDT

Location: Zoom online platform

Cost: This online 8-week program is being offered through the tradition of Dana or Donation to make it accessible to those who would like to attend. Sharon understands that some are facing stress and financial challenge during ongoing covid restrictions. If this program would have happened in person at the KYH as was originally scheduled, price was suggested within a sliding scale of $175 - $275. A donation/sliding scale supports you to choose an amount that aligns with your household income and financial health of your family. Please offer at the highest level that you can afford. This allows others who need to pay less the opportunity to attend. Please though, do not make money an obstacle to attending. It is the intension to not turn anyone away. Please reach out. Donations by e-transfer will be part of the registration process, but should you find your experience particularly valuable and you have the means, additional donations are welcome which will support me and the development of future online activities such as this. Email registration is required to attend. Upon completed registration process you will be sent an email with more details and access to the Zoom meeting information.
